  4. Add the diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the batter and stir until well combined.
  5. Heat a large pot of oil over medium heat until it reaches 375°F.
  6. Using a small cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 6 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 teaspoon blue food coloring

Follow these easy steps:

  1. Wash and dry the apples and remove the stems. Insert a popsicle stick or wooden skewer into the center of each apple.
  2. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Once the sugar has dissolved, stop stirring and let the mixture come to a boil. Cook until the mixture reaches 302°F on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the red and blue food coloring to create a purple color.
  5. Hold the apples by the sticks and dip them into the candy mixture, swirling them around to create a marbled effect.
  6. Place the apples on a sheet of parchment paper to cool and harden.
  7. Enjoy these spooktacular treats!
Well, that's all for today, folks. Happy cooking!
