Pioneer Woman Mug Cake Recipes

Who doesn't love a decadent chocolate cake? And what makes it better? Being able to make it in a mug, of course! Here's a recipe we found that is quick, easy and so delicious.

Chocolate Cake in a Mug

Mug of Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
  2. Add the egg and mix until well combined.
  3. Mix in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds on high.
  5. Let cool for a few minutes and enjoy!

When you need a chocolate fix fast, this recipe is perfect. But what if you want something a little more indulgent? Try this recipe for a classic chocolate truffle.

Classic Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces of chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • cocoa powder or chopped nuts for rolling

Directions:

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it begins to simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate and butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture until firm, at least an hour or two.
  4. Using a spoon or melon baller, scoop out small amounts of the chocolate mixture and roll into balls.
  5. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, chopped nuts or any other desired topping.
  6. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
