Chocolate Icebox Pie Pioneer Woman

It's such a pleasure to share with you today one of my all-time favorite dessert recipes: Chocolate Icebox Pie. This classic and creamy indulgence is the perfect way to end any meal, and the best part is that it's incredibly easy to make!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups of crushed chocolate wafer cookies
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 4 oz of semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
First, let's prepare the crust. Combine the crushed chocolate wafer cookies, melted butter, granulated sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix well until the texture is crumbly and the ingredients are well combined. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie dish and press it down firmly onto the bottom and sides. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Next, let's prepare the filling. In a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, melt the semisweet chocolate chips, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until soft peaks form. Then add the cooled melted chocolate and fold gently until combined.
Pour the mixture over the chilled crust and spread evenly. Cover the pie with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until firm.
