  • 1/2 cup whiskey
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened.
  2. Add whiskey and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the alcohol has evaporated.

  • 2 Rib eye steaks
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup whiskey
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Season both sides of steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat.
  4. When the skillet is hot, add steaks and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side.

  7. Remove steaks from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.
  8. While the steaks are resting, make the whiskey cream sauce. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter over medium heat.
  9. Add onion and garlic and sauté until softened.
  10. Add whiskey and beef broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the alcohol has evaporated.
  11. Add heavy cream and honey and simmer for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.
  12. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  13. Serve steaks with whiskey cream sauce.
